The Difference Between Garment Wash And Sand Wash
Compared to other fabrics, one of the characteristics of silk fabrics is luster and softness, no matter what degree of luster and softness. However, some designers do not like the luster of silk fabrics, or hope that silk fabrics are softer and feel better. Then, there will be two choices at this time, one is garment wash and the other is sand wash.
Garment Washing is to add softener or detergent to the water, and directly give the fabric the next water. According to the washing time and the amount of softener, it is generally divided into light wash, general wash and heavy wash. The effect after washing is that the fabric will become very soft, very handy, and there will be an illusion that the fabric becomes thicker.
The process of sand wash and garment wash is almost the same, but the added things are different. Generally, alkaline or oxidizing additives are added, and of course, some softeners are added in an appropriate amount. Therefore, the fabric will feel softer after the sand is washed, and then the surface of the fabric will have some fluff, and there will be a layer of faint white mist. Therefore, after the same sand washing, the fabric will become soft and will be piled up, and the fabric will have a thick illusion, but such a fabric is easy to bun, and may be broken when pulled gently.
