Digital printing technology is a convenient and cost-effective printing service, it saves the process and cost of plate making in conventional printing. The key practical techniques of digital printing are color, patterns and color fastness. The performance of the pattern can be achieved by color separation and design software, and the color can be achieved by using several different coloring methods.
This article will introduce five common color toning methods for reference.
Screen display method
Adjust the color of the image by adjusting the color of the screen display, usually by selecting or adjusting the color through the color menu on the screen. This method is very useful in color matching or starting toning, and is a color toning method commonly used by designers. However, due to the principle of color development of the display screen and the principle of color development of the dye on the fabric (the screen is produced by mixing three electron beams of RGB, and the dye is by absorbing light of certain colors to represent the color), the colors on screens cannot all be expressed on the fabric, and the small differences of the colors that exhibited by the dyes cannot be clearly displayed on the screen. Therefore, this is a rough color toning method and cannot be used for accurate color matching.
Color chart method
Toning the color of a pattern by color chart is a simple, intuitive, and effective method. International common color chart include RGB color chart, CMYK color chart, Lab color chart and PANTONE color chart. Pantone is the most common way. Compare the color of the sample with Pantone, find the color code in the Pantone with the same or close color, record the corresponding value or number, and input the color value in the graphics software to adjust the color of the image.
Color measuring method
The color tone method measures the color of the target color patch by means of a colorimeter, and transmits the measured result to the PC and then prints the color. This method uses the instrument to determine color, thus removing many artifacts and environmental factors.
Experience color adjustment
The speed of the experience toning method in the operation process, the accuracy of the results completely depends on the need for the operator to continuously analyze and accumulate in the usual work. In the process of accumulating experience, it is necessary to continuously accumulate data, and paste and mark the adjusted colors for use when needed. The digital printing experience color method is similar to the traditional printing experience color method, but it is easier to master than the traditional printing color method.
